Jakarta, El Sky News – At just six years old, Zayd Elang Andotama, known as El, has become the youngest drifter in Indonesia under the guidance of J99xAR Drifting Academy. His journey in motorsport started not on the track, but from a drift simulator at home, where his early passion for cars and racing began to grow.
El officially began his drifting practice at the J99Maxx Drift Circuit in early September 2025. During his first session, he was able to perform basic drift techniques successfully. This milestone marked a new record for J99xAR, making El the youngest student in the academy’s history.

Before entering the world of drifting, El was already known in the national go-kart racing scene. As a racer for Team HDM (Hendra Dwi Motorsport), he achieved second place (P2) in the Eshark Rok Cup Indonesia 2025 – Round 6, competing in the Entry Level category. His team also secured the Team Champions title for the fourth consecutive time.

In November 2025, El appeared at the Indonesian Drift Series (IDS) Final Round, an event themed “One Title Ends, One Rises.” The moment symbolized a generational handover in the Indonesian drifting scene — from Firo, the youngest drifter in 2021 at age 11, to El, the youngest in 2025 at age six.
Supported by Cyber University, Asyana Group, Diagnos, Lorandina, And Visi Anak Negeri. El continues to receive recognition as a rising talent in motorsport. His determination, supported by family and his team, has made him a symbol of inspiration for young racers across Indonesia.
El’s story shows that big dreams can start from small beginnings — even from a steering wheel held by a six-year-old with a vision for the future.
